Would you like to have pretty natural nails? Are you wondering, How do I fix my nails? So many women love the look of a nicely finished nail, but find that the look is hard to achieve. It is even harder to maintain in the days that follow. Shortly after a manicure, many women find that their nails are in rough shape. But, it doesn’t have to be this difficult! A nail care routine and a little maintenance is all you need!
One of the best recommendations I can give is to take off your colored polish after a week. After getting a professional manicure or doing your own nails it is best to remove the color at this point so that your nails do not turn whitish or yellow. If you are wearing gel of course it stays on longer. You will want to have gel or acrylics professionally removed each time you decide they are ready to come off. Don’t try pulling them off yourself! ouch!? Then you can reapply color or try out this technique to strengthen your nails and help them look healthy. If you love wearing color and would like some inspiration, check this post!
Nail Care Routine
There are new polishes available with strengthening properties that can be put on very easily. One of the best to keep your nails in great shape is the Zoya Naked Manicure System. It is meant to make natural nails look healthy and it has a youthful look because it gives nice depth to the nail. The Satin Seal in this product contains optical brighteners.
To achieve this look you will want the Naked Base, Pink Perfector, Satin Seal and Ultra Glossy Top Coat. If you do feel that your nails have a yellow cast, you may want to try the Lavender Perfector, which helps to neutralize the yellow. Otherwise go with the pink. The best place to get these products is http://zoya.com
Look for a Nail Technician who uses these products or ask yours if you could bring them in to be used on you. You can do the treatment yourself with these tips. Because the color is light and sheer, your pretty natural nails will last!
Nail Care Tools
You will want to have a nail file and a gentle buffer handy as well as a nice rounded cuticle pusher. A glass file is great especially for thin nails as it will seal the edge and really help avoid broken nails. Keep the nice container for travel so that you can carry one with you for nail fixes. I have broken at least 2 glass files by having them loose in a purse.
Cuticle oil & a little alcohol and a nail wipe are the last things to gather before starting to fix your nails. Want to know how to fix cuticles? Check this post for tips!

Wash your hands and push back the cuticle and gently clean under the nail. Do these things while the nails are freshly washed so the cuticle will be soft. Take your file and look at your nails. It’s easy to look up at a tv or in a conversation and file too much. Concentrating on this step for a few minutes will pay off! Try getting the length right first and then gently shaping. Rinse your hands to remove filings, use a little cuticle oil and then wipe the nail with a little bit of rubbing alcohol make sure the oil is off the nail. It is there to help the cuticle, but it needs to be off the nail. Now you can apply the Naked Manicure System to get pretty natural nails.
Apply the Base Coat
Use the base coat and dry for a minute. One of the tips with base coat is that you use very little, one dip should be enough for one hand. Then apply the Pink Perfector and dry before applying another coat. Shake and apply the Satin Seal. The Seal is a bi-phase product, which means it needs to be shaken.
Let your nails dry!
Your manicure will last better when you follow these steps and let it dry as long as possible! Make your nails last longer by giving it a few minutes.
I really like this product because it gives a finished pretty look. There are benefits to the treatment too, because it improves the look of the nails over time. The treatment can last a week and still be shiny!
Make sure to use a great hand cream once your nails are fully dry. One that contains hyaluronic acid will help plump the skin and improve the look of the hands! This will help keep your hands hydrated and give you pretty natural nails! Share this post with friends so their nails can look great too!
